Collective Church

I've had the privilege to do some work recently for Collective Church—a church startup in the Ft. Worth area led by my friend Rob Carmack. The work has entailed an identity system and a few sermon series graphics. www.collectivechurch.net

The logo incorporates the two Cs—one horizontal and the other vertical in orientation—of Collective Church. The cross is central to the mark and ties the elements together. The mark fits into a circular form which promotes the idea of unity and harmony in the body of Christ.

Cold Remedy

What was "Cold Remedy"?

I wanted to create an event, specifically in a winter month, that would alleviate the "common cold" in our spirits—an event that would foster creativity, brighten our outlook, and attend to our souls (a very lofty goal, I realize). Cold Remedy was a curated experience with music by the young, and very talented, band Massey and also readings by two personal friends and writers, Brent Newsom and Jim Ray. All of this took place in a small, intimate venue—Sips Kafé in downtown Shawnee. The walls were adorned with artwork by Julie Blackstone, and Molly Hennesy created some beautiful limited edition art prints that attendees took home as a memento.

I want to express my gratitude to each of you that attended Cold Remedy. Planning an event that supports the arts can be a risky endeavor. Thankfully, I can say it was a success due to your patronage and those that shared their talents with us. Also a special thanks to patrons who gave a little extra to help support more events like this in the future.
